It's Mama's birthday today

It has been a good day at the Rucker house today. Mama turned 29 this morning. Yikes...the big "30" will be here in 365 more days!! :) Will has decided his back is no good. He does not stay on it anymore. He can see better on his tummy. Here are some pictures of him after he flipped on the bed. He will be 4 months on Tuesday. We are going out with Meme and Poppy tonight for Mama's birthday and tomorrow we are going out with Nana, Granddaddy, Aunt Abigail, Uncle Tim, and maybe Cousin Joshua (unless he is with his new girlfriend). Sunday we are spending the day at Great-grandmother's house. That will be fun to see family and meet more members Will has never met before. We hope you all have a great weekend.

Aunt Beth's pictures

We were lucky enough to spend Saturday afternoon with Meme, Poppy, Aunt Beth, Uncle Zack, and Cousin Kate for Poppy's birthday. Here are some pictures Aunt Beth took while we were together. Too cute.

Rough day at the Rucker house

Well, it has been a rough 24+ hours at the Rucker house. I woke up yesterday still recovering from my mastitis and Brad was sick. He had a horrible pain in the lower right part of his abdomen. Everytime he stood up he felt like he was going to be sick. Later on in the day some fever came. I called my mom and she came and got Will.

We spent about 4 hours in the ER at Eastside last night. Originally it was thought to be his gallbladder. After his ultrasound proved normal, they changed thoughts to the appendix. Well, his cat scan and blood tests proved normal, too, so the doctor was stumped. He sent us home with pain meds and told us to see the doctor. So, Brad is going in at 2:30 today to see what his doctor thinks.

As happy as we are that it was not something requiring immediate surgery, we are wondering what could be causing this horrible pain and sickness. Keep our family in your prayers. All three boys are sleeping right now...Toby on top of Brad on the couch and Will in the chair (see picture). Maybe Mama needs a nap now, too. :)

Fun with Daddy

Will has had a good time playing with his daddy this weekend. I just can't leave them alone for too long because they like to do things that can get them into trouble. Friday night I was working and they were in the den and then his bedroom playing with some toys. All of a sudden, like Nascar, they come flying through the room I am working in on the ride on lion. I had to get the camera and take a picture...I especially love the one of him heading back into his bedroom.

Then today I went and worked out with my mom. Well, I get home to find Will laying on my bed in his diaper. Brad said he just wanted his clothes off, so he did what Will liked. Well, Brad told me he thought Will had a messy diaper, so when I checked there was nothing, but Brad had written a message on the rear of Will's diaper. I guess it was meant for all you Techies out there. :)

What can I say? My boys like to get into trouble. At least they are cute. :)

The Ghost of Tennis Past

What a day!! I woke up sick this morning and had to call my doctor and get some antibiotics called in. Will and I went and picked them up only to find out I had to pay full price because the insurance card I had for Brad's work was not a prescription card. I needed the medicine, so I paid it. I can get reimbursed if I bring in the card within a week...the card we don't have. :(

Anyway, this afternoon I have been trying to get Will to take a nap, but he has been fighting me. I don't know if he does not feel well, or if he is just playing with me. At one point while I was rocking him he started laughing at me. What a kid. So, Donna just e-mailed me and said she will not have another file for me until Monday, so that means I just have 10 minutes left to type before Monday. So, as I am getting ready to stop working and go feed Will, he finally falls asleep. I posted a picture. He had been playing on the guest bed for about 10 minutes.

I have also posted a picture of him waiting on his cereal the other day. He loves to sit on the counter and watch me make it. The one of him on the floor on his tummy was the other morning when he was waiting on his breakfast. I put him on his back, but he rolled over and looked into the kitchen as if to tell me to hurry up. Now that he can roll, he prefers his tummy.

Also, Brad brought in the "ghost of tennis past" last night while I was working. He put his tennis shirt on Will and thought it made him look like a ghost. Too funny. Those two will be getting into trouble in a few years, I just know it.

Aunt Beth, Uncle Zack, and Cousin Kate are coming to visit tomorrow. We are so excited to see them. They couldn't come last weekend, so we are glad they are coming tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ready for the Holidays

So, yesterday we visited the HUGE Kidsignment sale at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. We scored some good deals!!! Nana arrived there about 8:45 a.m. to be in line when the doors opened at 9. She spent over an hour just standing in line once she found the items she wanted to buy. She brought them over to the house and we went through them. Great stuff, I tell you.

Then Will and I went and shopped once they allowed strollers and children inside. I filled up my big bag before Meme even arrived. Once school was out, Meme drove over and met us there. She filled up her cart with clothes for cousin Kate. We only had to stand in line for about 20 minutes, so that was nice. Then we went over to the other building. I scored some really good items. I got Will a table he can pull up on and play with that was Thomas the Train. It was so cute and in REALLY good shape. I also got him a big Fire Truck mega blocks to go with the dump truck I had bought for Christmas at Toys R Us. Thanks to Meme and Nana, Will got about 30 new fall and winter outfits and/or pj sets and I got out of there for $31. :)

When I got home and spent an HOUR taking all the little safety pins and tags off, I noticed two of the outfits had hats (see pictures). They were too cute. I don't know if Daddy liked them too much, but we did. Overall, we were tired when we got home. Will was SO good though and did not fuss the entire time we were there...and we were there three hours.

In other news, Will and I got to meet our new little friend, Kayle Meeks, yesterday. We took dinner over to Quentin and Amanda yesterday afternoon, so we were able to see Kayle who is only 6 days old today. He is so tiny, but so precious!! Will seemed more interested in their 2 1/2 year old daughter, Grayson. What a sweet family.

I also found out that the company that makes Will's crib has recalled all their cribs except for two models...one being the one we have. I called the company this morning and asked why two were not recalled. They couldn't really give me a good answer, but did tell me that the ones that were recalled, the parents knew they weren't sturdy from day one. Ours seems well put together and sturdy, so hopefully there is no problem.

Will is really laughing out loud a lot lately. It is so funny, and I try to get him going as much as I can...just because it makes my heart so happy to see him and hear him laugh.

Oh, Wednesday morning I heard him waking up, so of course, I rolled out of bed with my eyes still closed (even though it was a little after 8 a.m.--but I had been working late the night before). So, I went in his room expecting to see feet kicking and hear lots of talking. Instead, I heard grunting and saw a little head bobbing...he had turned over on his tummy. I am pretty sure he did it while waiting on me, not during the night, but it was so cute. So, yesterday I kept putting him on his back to play and he wouldn't have it. He just rolled over onto his tummy...I think so he could look around and find me, or Toby. It is so funny.

Well, he is napping, so I am going to go get ready for the day. I will post more soon.

Brotherly Love

Happy Saturday! Here are a few pictures of Will from last night and today. Will was on our bed snoozing before Daddy went to tennis last night, and sweet Toby jumped on the bed and decided to nap with him. Look how he fell asleep...watching his little brother. :)

This morning Will was playing in the bed with Daddy and he started rolling like he likes to do. He flung his leg off the end of the bed. Daddy asked him, "Is it really that bad, son?" like he was going to jump. It was too cute.

Will got to meet his Great Uncle David and Great Aunt Debbie today. He talked and smiled a lot while they were here. It is always fun to meet more of the family.

The last picture is Will when he was tired yesterday. Nana doesn't like the bottom lip poking out, so we had to put it on here for her.

The definition of precious

Ever wonder what you find if you look up the word "precious" in the dictionary? Here it is...this is what I found when Brad was feeding Will his night time bottle. I love it. Then I just shot the one of him sleeping a few minutes ago. He is sacked out after his milk and cereal and pears. Too precious!

Just hanging out

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. Will and I have just been hanging out today. I got my file done that is due tomorrow night, so we are good to go to Aunt Abigail's house without worrying about working. That is a nice feeling. We are going to spend the night with her tomorrow night.

I wanted to post a few pictures of Will. He seems to grow each night in his crib. Today he was on my lap and I turned on Toon Disney. He watched for about 25 minutes. I would lay him back against me, and he would cry until I sat him up to a sitting position. Then he would watch the tv and talk to it. It makes me sad that my little baby is not a little baby anymore, but I love each stage as it comes.

So, here are some pictures of Will. He really likes playing with his floor toy now. He has realized when he kicks it that it will sing to him. Also, here is a picture of him sleeping...I was finishing my file, and he took a nap on the guest bed while I worked. Too cute.

Also, I don't think I told you that Will is eating fruit now. We started cereal almost 2 weeks ago, and Saturday I started him on applesauce. So far he has had applesauce and bananas. I think we will try pears in a few days. He LOVES fruit. What can I say? My son loves to eat. I will get a picture of him eating his fruit when there is someone here to take it. It is hard to feed him and take a picture at the same time. Have a great rest of the day.

Aunt Abigail's Birthday

Tonight we celebrated Aunt Abigail's birthday. Here are a few pictures of her and her presents, and of course, one with her and her cake I made. It was red velvet with homemade cream cheese icing. YUM! We went to dinner at Olive Garden and then came home for cake and gifts. Mom started a new tradition of the birthday hat. I am the next lucky one to get to wear it. It is a little big on Will right now, but maybe on his birthday it will fit better.

Mary Elizabeth's cake

Here are a few pictures of Mary Elizabeth's birthday cake. She is the 2 year old daughter of my friend, Wendy. The big Elmo is a cake and the little Elmos are cupcakes. I thought they turned out SO cute.

Also, I posted some pictures of Will playing with his Daddy last night. Brad was showing me how squishy his chubby cheeks are. Enjoy.

We love Fridays

Will and I just love Fridays. Today is a good one because I finished my transcription work that is due Monday last night, and all I have to do today is decorate Abigail's birthday cake and do a cake and cupcakes for Mary Elizabeth's birthday party. The rest of the day is for Will and I to relax and enjoy our time together.

I wanted to post a picture of Will a few minutes ago after finishing his rice cereal. He has his fists in the air like a muscle man. Too cute. Then he had some brotherly love with Toby...or was he just smelling the cereal? And he loves his tummy time. I also wanted to post a picture of him after getting his belly full while wearing his "I love my Nana" bib.

Lastly, there is a picture of "Pharoah" Will, as Daddy called him. Funny story...I sent Brad in to put Will's pj's on the other night. Well, he decided to make him a Pharoah with his clothes and call me in. I had to get a cute picture. Have a good weekend.

Cute pictures

Here are a few cute pictures of Will. Notice the one in the Bumbo chair...it is on the couch. Brad says every man needs his chair. He is also hugging a Pepsi can in one arm, and the remote control in the other. He is watching his "Baby Einstein" like a real Rucker man. :)
