I do! I like them!

Daniel has been...shall we say...a picky eater!! He ate everything when it came from baby food jars! Now, it seems like all he likes is macaroni and cheese and Cheerios. I try to feed him good vegetables, but he just spits them out. Tonight, he pointed at the green beans on my plate and said "bean." I gave him one, and he ate it. Then he wanted more. Before I knew it, he had eaten all the beans I had set aside for Brad to have with his dinner. Oops! But he was too cute eating them!

Great Day!

The Rucker Family had an awesome day! We did a lot of playing, and a lot of things around the house, and a lot of relaxing. Speaking of relaxing...look at what we got...or, I guess look at the view from inside what we got. We finally got our hot tub! :)
Brad had the guys help him and Rick set it up on our back porch that is off of the basement. We can get in it any time because last summer, we had under-decking put in our upstairs deck. Brad and I got in this afternoon while the boys were taking their naps. I just got out a few minutes ago from our second time in there. I took this picture this afternoon while I sat in there. SO relaxing!
I found a new recipe on Pinterest for a roast called Mississippi Roast. I made it tonight and it was SO good. Before I even sat down with my plate, Will had finished his and was saying how good it was. After dinner, I made homemade popcorn (for the first time ever) and Will chose for us to watch The Elf on the Shelf as a family. So, we watched a Christmas movie and ate popcorn! We enjoyed every minute of it!!

My son, the photographer!

Since we have a very long commute each day, Will has taken to photography. I have many pictures of his feet, of trees, of red lights, of the back of my head, of the back of the car seat in front of him. But today, I heard, "Smile, Daniel." This is what I found on my phone!!! He's getting better! :)

Will drove the boat, too!

He loves his Daddy!

Meme took a few pictures of Brad and Daniel on the boat the other day. Brad was laying down for a few minutes, and Daniel wanted to lay down with him. When he got on top of Brad, he immediately gave him a kiss.
He then lifted up and they smiled at each other for a little while...
And back in for some more smooches!!! :)

An afternoon on the lake

We took the boat out on the lake yesterday afternoon. Meme and Poppi came up for a visit, so they went with us. It was not too hot, and not too cold. We had a great afternoon.
Daniel decided that Poppi was driving the boat too slow, so he had to take over the wheel!
Will was excited when we pulled up to the shore at the park and he, Mama, and Daniel got out and went to play for a while. Meme, Poppi, and Daddy got the boat out and hooked up. It was a great afternoon!

No, not my little boy!!

See this face??? This little devilish grin??? Can you believe that HE was playing on his Daddy's phone this weekend and HE called Hall County Emergency Services??? They called back while he was playing a game, and when Brad answered, he had to tell them to disregard the call. When we asked him why he called the police, Will replied, "Me no call them...they called me!" Haha! He is a mess!

A visit from the Easter Bunny...

The Easter Bunny came by our house last night and left some nice goodies in the boys' baskets. Around 7:15 this morning, I heard Will RUNNING as fast as he could to tell us the baskets were full. It was cute!

Something else we started this year was the "Magic Jelly Beans." The boys planted them in the pink pot last night, and overnight, they grew into bunny suckers! :)
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating Easter with my side of the family, and Meme and Poppi came, too! Here are the kids right before we came home...hanging out on a bean bag!
What sweet little blessings they are!

This is for the birds...

It's the first Saturday of the month, so what does that mean? Yep, it's Home Depot Kid's Workshop day! Brad had to go in to work today, so luckily, Nana and Granddad were able to meet me. This one was more involved than the race car, because not only did you have to put it together, but then you got to go and paint it. I don't know how I would have handled all that alone. So, this month's project...a bird feeder...
Daniel had fun sitting in Granddad's lap and "helping" him...
Will has been reminding me for two days to get his apron to bring to Home Depot!
 He loves to hammer...
 What's the next step????
 He was having a ball!
And here are the finished products...we hung them on one of our glass doors that is off of our kitchen. Home Depot even gave us two big things of bird seed. Will painted his feeder all by himself...he did a great job! We can't wait to see what May has in store for us!

My favorite playmates!

The boys and I have had a great week...it was Spring Break! Will was just as excited as I was to have 10 home days! We did not do anything very exciting on our vacation, unless organizing things around the house is fun??? The boys did get to go stay with both sets of grandparents, and I know they loved that as much as Brad and I were thankful for a break! Here are my precious ones tonight in the bath tub!
Daniel is really getting in to playing with toys now. I think he watches his brother and does with them what he has seen his brother model for him!
One of our major projects this week was the toys in the house. I was SO happy when we moved here because we have one room upstairs...a playroom!!! Brad does not want any toys in the basement, I wanted minimal toys on the main floor, and we wanted the remaining toys (that could supply toys for all children in Gainesville, I do believe) to stay housed upstairs. Since we moved here though, toys have been all over. So, we took all the toys on the main floor, sorted them into "must have in my room" and "go upstairs" piles. Each boy has a big bin in their room for toys, and the rest went upstairs.
Tonight after baths, we went upstairs and played for a long while. Will really enjoyed building with these blocks. He kept building things, knocking them down, and rebuilding!
Daniel was playing so nicely with his Elmo workbench, and then he realized I was taking pictures of him, so he came to attack!
And then he realized Will had his favorite blocks out, so he joined in on the action!
Will made me a Rapunzel tower!!
I've had a great week with my kids! They are so entertaining and are really developing their own unique selves! I am truly blessed to be their Mama!

Monday night fun

What is Daniel smiling about??
He likes watching the white eggs turn colors!!! His brother was very proud of his new creations!
