The boys and I went to South Carolina today for our cousin, Elliott's, third birthday party. Here are some shots I got...Will LOVED baby Grace!
Daniel loved her, too....kept saying, "I loves mine cousin!!"
They each high fived the firewoman! Plus, Daniel kissed her!
Will enjoyed checking out the fire truck up close!
Daniel loved touching everything!
Will was very excited to drive!
Daniel wanted to press every button!
We tried to get both of them to pose on the front of the fire truck...
...but this is the best we could do!
Daniel and Elliott looked cute together...
Aunt Winnie and Grace!
And I have to brag on Daniel and his potty training. We went over two hours away from home today, and Daniel had NO accidents! Then he cried on the way home...and was wearing a diaper since I knew he would fall asleep...and kept saying he didn't want to go potty in his diaper. So, I pulled off the interstate and found a clean looking place, and he POOPED in the potty! I was so proud of him!!! I think we're on the road to no diapers!!
This morning, we headed out to the water park! We're very blessed to have Meme willing to come and help me out with outings like this!! Since my boys like to go in two different directions a lot of the time, it's nice to have an extra set of eyes and hands! Here they are right before heading out to jump in the water. They did NOT want to take a picture, so this is the best I could get! :-)
Daniel always loves the fountains that spray up from the ground. He had a ball running around a karate kicking them today!
Will thought it was funny to lay on top of them...you can see Daniel doing what big brother does next to him!
Still playing in the fountains!
So much fun!
The boys also did the little slide A LOT!!! Will and I went down the BIG slide a few times, too! It was a very fun morning, and now we're all pooped!!
...we all scream for FRESH ice cream! Out where we live, we don't have the luxury of having everything we need around the corner. If we head out to go somewhere, we make sure we run all our errands while we're out. But, one thing we do have is the luxury of a local creamery. I took the boys there today after we dropped Brad and a buddy off to kayak for a few hours. I heard the lady there say that on their farm, they have 64 cows that are milked twice a day and their milk is immediately bottled or made into other products like cream or cheese or ice cream. Their ice cream is very good, and extremely fresh! The boys enjoyed sitting at the kid's cow painted table.
Daniel LOVED the chocolate! It was ALL over him once he was done. He does not like to have messy hands, so he kept asking me to wipe him. I told him just to finish eating and that I would wipe him when he was done. I had to get some wet napkins and "bathe" him. Will loved their strawberry ice cream.
After eating our ice cream, the boys ran down the hill to check out some of the cows. It's funny to think that we just ate something made from the milk that may have been in them just yesterday! :-)
They also have a really big cow out in front. The boys loved it. They were pretending to milk it.
Daniel kept looking up at it and yelling "Mooooo!!"
And outside their little store, they have a cow that you can actually "milk" into the bucket. They have water in their that comes out. Will loved doing that, and Daniel was intrigued by the bell.
Then Daniel joined in on the milking.
Yep, they're country boys! Ha!
When we left, Daniel said, "That was fun, Mama!" I'm glad they enjoyed it!
When we bought our house 2 1/2 years ago, I told Brad I wanted a new mailbox. This year, for Mother's Day, I got it! I came home from work one day and it was in the yard! Now it is down by the street! :-)
And my sweet boys made me this awesome card...with one of my cake boards! Haha!
My first baby...the one who goes to Kindergarten in 2 months! Wow, time has flown by! You are such a great big brother!!! Daniel gave Will this Bolt for his birthday! He absolutely loves it!!
Will tells me the funniest things some times. One day, a few days after his birthday, he came in the den and told me that big boy five-year-olds get to have big cups now, and he loves it! Ha!
Anyone who knows me knows that I love making cakes! Before I had children, I took all of the Wilton cake classes. I have about 200 cake pans in my basement! The idea was for me to make all of my children's birthday cakes...and I always do! Well, this year we did not have Will's birthday party until a few days after his actual birthday. I wanted him to feel special on his birthday, so I bought him a cake at Publix!!! Here is my child's first ever store bought cake...
Hi! We are the Rucker family. Brad and Debi have been happily married for 11 years. On May 2nd of 2008, we added our precious son, William Ellis Rucker, to our happy home. We welcomed Daniel James into our family on September 9, 2010. These boys are the absolute most precious pieces of our lives. We also have a 11-year-old Pug named Toby. We have moved our family to the lake, and we love it! Please come back often and watch our family grow!
