I scream, You scream...

...we all scream for FRESH ice cream! Out where we live, we don't have the luxury of having everything we need around the corner. If we head out to go somewhere, we make sure we run all our errands while we're out. But, one thing we do have is the luxury of a local creamery. I took the boys there today after we dropped Brad and a buddy off to kayak for a few hours. I heard the lady there say that on their farm, they have 64 cows that are milked twice a day and their milk is immediately bottled or made into other products like cream or cheese or ice cream. Their ice cream is very good, and extremely fresh! The boys enjoyed sitting at the kid's cow painted table.
Daniel LOVED the chocolate! It was ALL over him once he was done. He does not like to have messy hands, so he kept asking me to wipe him. I told him just to finish eating and that I would wipe him when he was done. I had to get some wet napkins and "bathe" him. Will loved their strawberry ice cream.
After eating our ice cream, the boys ran down the hill to check out some of the cows. It's funny to think that we just ate something made from the milk that may have been in them just yesterday! :-)
They also have a really big cow out in front. The boys loved it. They were pretending to milk it.
Daniel kept looking up at it and yelling "Mooooo!!"
And outside their little store, they have a cow that you can actually "milk" into the bucket. They have water in their that comes out. Will loved doing that, and Daniel was intrigued by the bell.
Then Daniel joined in on the milking.
 Yep, they're country boys! Ha!
When we left, Daniel said, "That was fun, Mama!" I'm glad they enjoyed it!
