Rescue Me!!

Today when Brad took Will to Jackie's house, he accidently locked Will in the van...with it running. Jackie told Brad that the police will help if the car is running. About 15 minutes later, a fire truck came blaring around the corner! They had Will out of the van in a matter of minutes. Brad said that Will never cried, but instead was laughing at him outside of the van. When he opened the car, his friends said, "Hi, Will!" Jackie said it was fun for the other little boys because they loved the truck, and the firemen even offered for them to get in the truck!! As scary as it was that he was locked in the van, it would have been nice to have a camera to capture the moment! Haha! What a way to start a Monday!!

A lot to be thankful for...

Daddy took some time off for Thanksgiving. We had a great day on Wednesday getting Will's picture made, taking him to get a hair cut, and going to the park. Here are some fun pictures from our park adventure...

Will LOVES the slides...all of them!!
He can climb up the wall by himself...his tongue is always out when he is concentrating!

Running as fast as he can to the other side of the playground!

About to go down another slide!

This year I am thankful for my precious husband and adorable son! I am thankful that Beth had a healthy baby last week and everyone is doing well! I am thankful that we both have jobs and a home that we can come to each night! I am thankful for a loving God who is with us in good times and in bad! I am thankful for all the other members of my family who I love so much! I am thankful that the doctors finally diagnosed my problems after 3 months!! I am looking forward to what lies ahead this holiday season!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

This afternoon Will and I met Tiffany and Hayes at the mall for a "Mommy play date." Since Will and I were there shopping on Tuesday afternoon, and I happened to see that Santa is already there and there was no line, we went ahead and got our picture taken. The picture we purchased turned out nice...he was smiling!! Here are some pictures I snapped...

Will wasn't looking at me, but he was giving Santa a high five!
I changed Will's clothes after his picture so that he would be more comfortable. Then we went and rode one of the toys in the mall. Here are Will and Hayes driving a convertible...too cute!

Random things...

This week started off like any other...Monday Brad and I went back to work and Will headed off to Jackie's to play with his six little buddies. This was early release this week, so Mama had conferences all throughout the week. Thursday afternoon was Will's re-check at Dr. Messick's office for his ears. If you recall, he had the croup and then got an ear infection about 2 weeks ago. We went in expecting good news, but we were told that not only is his ear still infected, but it is worse. Ugh!!! So, we got a new prescription for a stronger medicine and headed home. Funny thing though, he only tugged on his ear a few times...never changed his mood.

Here he is sitting on my lap tonight before he went to bed. He kept trying to grab the camera...this is one he was actually looking at me.
Earlier today I caught him sitting at the kitchen table "working" with my calendar book. Haha...he looks so grown up. He had stuck the pen inside the ring, and he was trying to figure out how to get it back.

Here are two cakes I made for this weekend. They were for my friend Anna. Ethan is her son and Samuel is her nephew.

Speaking of nephews, Brad and I are going to have one on Wednesday...which means Will is going to have a new cousin. We already have Kate, and now Beth is due to have her c-section Wednesday morning. Please keep her in your prayers. I will post pictures when I have them...Brad and I are going to go visit after work!!
Will and Brad were playing around earlier today and Brad put him on the butcher block and put him into a split. He was cracking up and Brad kept doing it. When I got the camera, he decided it wasn't that funny anymore. Please pray that health is restored to my sweet baby boy. I know he is tired of feeling worn down and yucky!! Have a great west of the weekend!

Did you sleep okay??

It's been a rough couple of weeks at the Rucker house. Will has had the croup, an ear infection, and is just wiped out...

We were supposed to go to Birmingham yesterday morning to celebrate Grandmother Rucker's 80th birthday. Daddy went with Meme and Poppi and we stayed home because the cough came back...

We relaxed yesterday and just hung out together. I thought Will needed some good rest at home...

Look what going to bed at 7:30 p.m. and waking up at 9:30 a.m. can do for a little guy...

Hopefully he is on the road to recovery!!

We found Nemo!!!

I am finally getting around to blogging again!! Sickness has finally left the Rucker household! Tuesday night as I was preparing for my colonoscopy, Will started throwing up and running a 102.2 fever. Nana had to come and help me until Daddy got home. Will woke up Wednesday with a 103.1 fever, so while Daddy took me to my procedure, Nana took Will to Dr. Messick's office and found out Will had an ear infection. He is doing MUCH better now, and we are so thankful. Here is what has been going on...
Here are Annsley's birthday cakes. She wanted a big candy corn (strawberry inside) for her party, and her mom wanted a cake for them at home...I think they turned out cute!

This is a cake for a lady Brad works with. She was having a bridal shower for a friend...
We went Saturday night to our church's Fall Festival. It was raining, and everything was moved inside, so it was VERY crowded and warm! Here is our little Nemo before we got out of the van.

Granddad volunteered to take Boo down the big slide. They did this twice...he LOVED it!

Will really loved the bouncy thing that was for toddlers. He was the only one in there for a while. He kept climbing up the ladder and going down the slide. I think we will need one of these for his birthday party! :)
Then we saw the REALLY steep slide. Granddad said we don't even know what he had to go through to get Boo up to this one. Haha...Will loved it, too!

Right before we left, we stopped and saw some baby animals. This is the best picture I could get because other kids kept getting in my view. It was a nice Halloween!!
