Tuesday fun...

Will is just growing and doing new things every day! He has started throwing a ball. We got a foam baseball at the Gwinnett Braves game, and he likes to throw that to either me or Brad. He carries it around the house most of the day. He was carrying his bat earlier, but Brad caught him with his hammer instead of the bat.

Will also loves to climb onto the couch and get the remote control. He has figured out that it goes with the t.v. and he can even change the channel. Can you believe he is going to be 14 months on Thursday? Where does the time go?

Happy 120th Birthday Meme and Poppi

Tonight was a special night...we went to the Blue Willow Inn for dinner. Why? For Meme and Poppi's surprise 120th birthday party, that's why. It sure was hard for Mama, Daddy, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Zack to keep all the details from Meme and Poppi, and we were SO glad that all their friends kept the secret. They were very surprised, and a wonderful time was had by all!!

Keep your eye on the prize...

Will and I shared a sugar-free fudgepop after we ate lunch today...

Uh-oh....it's all gone!! :(

You be the judge...

Yesterday when I got Will from his nap, I thought he was a Brad, Jr. I honestly thought I was looking at a miniature version of my husband. All afternoon when I looked at him, I thought, "Brad." Now, I have known since birth that Will favors Brad a lot, but sometimes in certain instances, I see myself in him...especially in younger pictures of me. Aunt Abigail says she sees more of me in him than Brad, but most other people say Brad. What do you think? Is he a daddy's boy??

He's out for the count...

In preparation for my return to work in August, I am trying to wean Will from his morning nap. He LOVES to sleep. All I have to say is, "Will, do you want to take a night-night?" and he runs to his room as fast as he can.
Ms. Jackie does not give the children morning naps. Instead, they go down after lunch...sometime around 12:30. It has been easy this week to keep him up because Monday we went to the mall, yesterday was music, and today he had a doctor's appointment. However, the days we are home, he wants a nap, and I usually give in.
I don't think he will have trouble staying awake at Jackie's house because there will be 5 boys his age there to play with all morning.
The days Will does get just an afternoon nap, he will sleep for sometimes a little over 3 hours. Here is how I found him a few minutes ago...out like a light!!

The love between a boy and his dog...

Toby got a lot more rest and relaxation before Will came along...or I guess I should say before Will started moving and realized Toby was his playmate. Every morning when I get Will from his crib, his first thing he says is "To" or "To-To" and he looks down for Toby. He follows Toby around, and Toby follows him around. I have even caught Toby sneaking into Will's room during naps...I think he is hoping to wake him up. Toby takes a lot of abuse from Will...Will always wants to play with him and love on him. But Toby is good, and is always sweet to Will, no matter what. These two boys sure do love each other!

It got quiet in the house...

While I was in the laundry room folding clothes from the dryer and loading up the dryer and then the washer again, the house got quiet. Normally wherever Will is, I know just by the noises in the room. Not this afternoon. I got scared. Where was he? I had to get the camera when I found him...

Ouch!!

If E.T. were here, he would definitely say to Will, "Ouch!!"

So hot...must have a popsicle...

It is a HOT day in Grayson today. This morning we went to Ms. Jackie's house for a play date. She is the lady who will be keeping Will starting in August when I return to teaching. There are all boys at her house, and they are all around Will's age. While we were there, we hopped in her 6-person stroller and took a walk down the road. While on our walk, a baby deer darted right in front of us. All of the kids stared at it in amazement.
Will and I went to both Kroger and Wal-Mart today to get some things we needed. Wow...is it hot out there. It is right about 100F, and I think it is only the beginning. We will be visiting the pool sometime after dinner tonight.
To cool Will down a little, I gave him a mini-popsicle. He loved it. I especially love the picture of his fat little fist...look how tight he is grasping the popsicle stick!! Haha! Oh, and sorry about the drippy nose in the pictures...he had been crying. Have a great weekend!!

Kindermusik is FUN!!

Will had his first Kindermusik class at church this morning. It sure was fun. I didn't take any pictures during the class (but I will next week) but I took a few of Will working with the take home materials. We have two cd's, several books, a puppet and finger puppet, and two shakers. Will can't wait to show Daddy how to use the shakers when he gets home!! Oh, and look, if you are good...Ms. Dana gives you a stamp!! Will's first hand stamp!! Way to go!

Happy 1st Birthday, Gus!!

On Sunday we went to the dog park to celebrate Gus' 1st birthday. He is Will's German Shepard cousin that likes to wack Will in the head with his tail. While all the dogs were running around playing, Will was running around looking at all of them. Here are a few pictures Aunt Abigail took.

Also, we had Kindermusik this morning. Will loved it, and it wore him out. He has been asleep for over 2 hours, and his lunch time was an hour and a half ago. I wish it was more than once a week. :)

I will post some pictures of him and his home practice stuff later.

One of my favorite things to do with my Daddy...

We had a great day today. We started off the morning by running some errands, coming home and eating lunch, confirmed a time for our play date on Friday, Will took a short nap, Daddy came home early so that Mama could go to a meeting, Mama came home and took Will to the pool, we played in the pool a long time...Mama and Will in the neighborhood baby pool...haha...Will loved going under the mushroom, came home and Will ate dinner, Mama started to bake a cake, but realized Daddy used all the oil, so Mama went to Kroger and Blockbuster while Daddy and Will played, and then Mama caught Daddy and Will doing their favorite thing...he LOVES for Daddy to pull him around the house on the blanket...and sometimes Toby jumps on, too.

In other news, Will is going to go to his first Kindermusik class tomorrow morning. I called today and got him signed up for a class being held at our church. I am looking forward to taking him there. Have a great night!!

Cousin play time

We had a fun afternoon!! Cousin Kate, Aunt Beth, and Meme came over to visit. We started out by going to the pool, but then the storm came, so we had to come home. Meme played with Will and Kate in Will's room while Beth and I went through maternity clothes that she could borrow.

The kids love to play outside, so we went in the back for them to run around. Meme got some water to put in the water table, and they loved it. Kate was dumping water from the table into the baby pool. Will climbed in the pool and it tipped over and soaked his clothes. So, that is why he is in the diaper in most of the pictures.

Oh, and Meme changed his diaper...he must have been trying to flip over on her!! Beth and I were laughing at his "cheek" hanging out!! Too cute!!
