This is Will E. Rucker...

...coming to you live from my Mama's kitchen...

I'll be with you all night playing you those soothing lullabies...LOL!!!

Myra sent me this picture tonight. This was the morning Will got his hair cut. Kate came with us, too, and since she behaved, she got a ticket to get a prize as well. Here they are waiting for their prize to come out of the machine!!

I can see clearly now...I hope the rain is gone...

Today is day two of no school due to flooding here in GA. Yesterday I got all the way to work before finding out that school had been delayed, later to be called off. Luckily, they closed schools for today last night, so I didn't get up and head out to work. I let Will go to Jackie's for a little while this morning, so that I could get some things done, and because she is going out of town tonight until Monday, so I wanted him to play with his buddies. When we got home, he ran for his car. The sun is coming out now, so hopefully after his nap, we can take it out for some fun...

Today marks the day that Mama Dell would have turned 100. Myra e-mailed some people this morning and I was reminded of this special day. Mama Dell is Brad's grandmother who passed away 7 months after we got married in 2003. She was 94 years old. Here is one of my favorite pictures of us...she was enjoying her cupcake at our wedding, and she offered me a bite. Haha...the photographer thought it was cute, so we struck a pose. Happy Birthday, Mama Dell!!

Rainy Day in GA

It was a yucky day today...good thing we had a birthday party to go to!! Will's buddy from church, Hunter, turned 1!! His mom and dad gave him a nice baseball party. As soon as we got there, our son ran for the toys...the big ball was his first choice...

While Hunter opened his presents, Will got on Daddy's shoulders...Daddy was eating Will's feet in this picture...I love it...

Then Will decided to give Hunter's new car a try...Hunter enjoyed pushing him around! Too cute!! Thanks for inviting us to your party, Hunter!!

Speaking of cars, Will got one this week!! One of Aunt Beth's friends gave her this car, and Kate already has it. So, what did she do? She gave it to Will!! He loved it...Meme and Poppi brought it home from Athens this week, so Meme took this picture of Will in his car this morning. He brought Uga along for a ride! :)

Just hanging out in my room...

This afternoon when we got home from Jackie's, Will just wanted to hang out in his room. Here are a few pictures of him playing with some toys...

So many toys, so little time...
I think that is a good choice of a book, Will!!!

This weekend should be fun...with hopefully a little less rain!! Will is going to spend the night at Meme and Poppi's house on Friday night. We are going to Hunter's 1st birthday party on Saturday. And if it isn't raining, we are going to the fair with Nana and Granddad on Sunday!!
Mama has been feeling bad this week!! I stayed home from work and went to the doctor on Wednesday. From all my tests, they have concluded that I have Diverticulitis...a disease of my colon! I got an infection from it, and that is why I have been so ill this past weekend and week. The two medications they put me on are making me feel a little better. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow up appointment. Oh, and the doctor said he hasn't seen someone my age with diverticulitis in over 10 years...I guess hitting 30 was a little harder on my body than I thought...LOL...it thinks I am older! :)

So, what's been going on??

It has been a little while since I updated, so let me catch you up on what is going on in the Rucker household. I don't think I gave Will's stats from his doctor's appointment on Friday. He weighs 26.11 pounds (72nd percentile) is 34.5 inches long (98th percentile) and I can't remember how round his head was, but once again, 99th percentile. Full of brains, I think!! :)
Will is doing AWESOME at Jackie's house. He started sleeping on the big boy cot. She says after lunch that she cleans his hands and tells him to go lay down. He gets on the cot and sleeps about 2-2.5 hours. This will surely help us when it is time for a big boy bed!!
Will fell and busted his mouth yesterday morning at Jackie's house. It was the inside of his top lip...poor little guy!! It didn't seem to bother him though once the bleeding stopped, so that was good.
Will is talking more every day. Yesterday he told me, "no-no Mama"...I couldn't believe it. My favorite thing is to watch Brad "eat" on Will's belly...and hear him yell "Da-da" in between bouts of giggles!! It is the best!!
Will can now point to his head, nose (usually by picking it), belly, and sometimes will show you his tongue. Every now and then he can do his eyes and ears. I told Brad last night that we need to get it on video...it is so cute!!
Well, that is all I can think of going on right now...enjoy some pictures...
Will doesn't get sweets very often, but he sure loves it when he does...look what kind of mess he makes with one tiny M&M...This was on Monday...we were about to go to Chick-fil-A for our free chicken sandwich!! Wear your favorite team, and get a sandwich...yep, Will got one, too!!

Daddy was being silly...gave Boo-boo a diaper head!!

Good-bye curls!

We took Will to Snip-Its this morning for his first hair cut. I apologized to the lady for all the pictures I was about to take...enjoy...
Getting ready...

Those curls won't be there for long...
He didn't like the spray bottle too much!
He kept looking at his daddy and Meme and Poppi and laughing!
This hair cut stuff wears me out!!
Will playing with a toy while the lady snips away.
He liked the brush she uses to get loose hair away...
Uh-oh...he did NOT like the buzzer that cut around his ears and the back of his neck...Daddy had to step in and help!!
The finished product...what a big boy!!
His certificate...

Where did Will go??

Today is Will's 16-month birthday. I can't believe so much time has gone by since our precious boy came into this world. It has been the best!! When I picked him up from Jackie's house today, she told me that he is "graduating" tomorrow during nap time from a pack-n-play to a cot...a COT...that means he is NOT little anymore!!! He also did not want to leave today...I had to go and pull him away from the toys and carry him out!! Here are a few pictures of him playing this afternoon at our house...

He couldn't get out of the tub, so he just sat down...haha!
What a sweetheart...hard to believe that little angel pitched his first real tantrum in Kroger on Monday and threw Teddy Grahams all over the floor!! Then yesterday, we were playing and I tried to help open the toy...he obviously didn't want me to, because he stood up as fast as he could, grabbed my arm with both hands, and went in for a bite! Some days the little angel turns into a devil, but I even love those days!!

One of his favorite things to do...go underneath the ottoman in the living room...Where did Will go??

Oh...there he is...with a passy that he found somwhere in his room...and he hasn't had a passy since he was 2 months old!! What a nut!!
