Will loves to nap...

Will has always been a good sleeper at night, but now he is becoming quite the napper. Yesterday morning and this morning his naps have been 2 1/2 hours long. He is now taking another nap. This helps me out because it allows me to do things that need to be done around the house, or to get some work done before Brad gets home. It does look a little funny though today...Will is wearing GT colors in his GA bedroom. :)

Even though Will normally goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 8am, this morning he decided to get up at 6:15. It was nice that Brad got to see him this morning though because usually he is already on his way to work when Will wakes up. Brad decided to take a picture of Toby this morning, and a really close picture of Will. I thought I would post them. Too cute!!

Tagged

Okay, so my cousin Jennifer tagged me. Basically, you have to write 7 facts about yourself and put them on your blog. Then I will tag 7 people and they have to do the same. So, here we go with 7 random facts...

1. I love God, Brad, Will, and all my family with all of my heart.

2. I really love to decorate cakes. It relaxes me.

3. Grocery shopping is a "chore" that I really love to do.

4. I have a problem when it comes to parties. I LOVE to give them. In the past 2+ years I have given my sister's wedding shower, sister-in-law's baby shower, a friend's baby shower, and I already have my 5 month old's first birthday planned and everything purchased except the food...which I already have a list of what I need to get as far as that is concerned. Is there a help group for people like that? :)

5. I absolutely loved every day I was pregnant. It was such a wonderful, miraculous feeling to know a life was inside of me.

6. My favorite sound is the laugh that comes out of my son's mouth when he and his daddy are playing. It could melt your heart and it makes each day worth living.

7. I love to hear the garage door go up at the end of the day and Brad walk through the door. It makes me so happy when our little family is together.

So, that's it. It wasn't too hard. I am sure I could come up with lots more things if I needed to, but they just said 7. :)

Now I will tag...
Lauren Bentley, Dawn Jarvis, Catherine Boozer, Andrea Kiep, Melanie Crozier, Brent Hardeman, and Lisa and Brian Crissman.

Road Trip

What a great weekend!! Will took his first road trip. We can now say he has been to two states...GA and SC. This weekend was the annual breast cancer walk in Columbia, and being that our Aunt Winnie is a breast cancer survivor, we always join the team and go out for a good cause. This year our team was kind of puny, but we showed up and walked. I think there were over 10,000 walkers this year. Will had a great time. He slept through most of the actual walk, but he enjoyed the beforehand activities. He wore a onesie that had a breast cancer ribbon on the front and said "Tough Guys Wear Pink" and on the back I put "I stroll for my Aunt Winnie." She loved it.

Will also got to meet some family he had never met. We went to Matt and Jennifer's new house. They just moved home from Texas and are expecting three boys at the end of January. We also went to Ryan and Jessica's new house in Spartenburg on the way home. They live across the street from a lake in a beautiful area. We got a picture of them with Will. It sure was nice to be with family this weekend...especially Really Great Uncle Don. :)

After 22 years of living in their home, Aunt Winnie and Uncle Don have sold it and are moving in to a wonderful patio home. They will be closing on Wednesday. I know they will be emotional about leaving their house, especially since they raised their boys there, but we were also sad to leave their house. We sort of grew up there, too. There were many a Johnson/Clary Thanksgiving Olympic games held there. Who knew how far a plunger would really go when you threw it? Who was able to get the tennis ball all the way over the house to their partner? Those were the days.

So, we said good-bye to our dear friend the Clary house. It was a great place to be for many, many years. We are very happy for them though that they will be getting something that fits their lives now.

So, that's it. Our road trip was a success. We were pooped when we got home, and glad to be back with Daddy, but we were so glad we went. Now on to our busy week!! :)

A Little Like Me??

So, my dad found some pictures of me when I was three months old. The quality is not too good because I took a picture of them through a glass frame because it was sealed on the back. Anyway, he wanted me to see them because they look a lot like Will. I think that they do, too. What do you think?

Will got to stay with his Nana for a few hours this morning. Here he is in his "pumpkin" outfit. We went and had an oil change early this morning and then headed to Nana's for him to stay there while I went and had an appointment with the doctor who delivered Will...5 months to the date, too! I just can't believe 5 months has gone by already.

Meme is coming over this afternoon to stay with Will until Daddy gets home. I have my last tennis lesson tonight. Tomorrow afternoon Cousin Kate is coming to stay with us for a few hours until Meme gets off work. I am sure we are going to have a fun afternoon...I may need a nap afterwards!!! They are both always on the go, so I am sure they will wear me out!!

Another not so fun first

Will got to meet Dr. Lawson today because Dr. Messick is on vacation. Why was he at the doctor today you might ask? Well, he has his first ear infection. I was concerned that his cold had been here for 3 1/2 weeks and his nose has been pouring green stuff for 2, so I called the nurse. She had him come in and there is now an ear infection. I guess the good news is that Publix gives free antibiotics, so that is one less bill we had to pay. Poor little guy!!

Where does the time go?

My baby is going to be 5 months old in 36 hours. I just can't believe it. He grows and changes each day. I feel so blessed and thankful that I am able to be home with him each day and watch each and every milestone he has. He is an amazing little boy, and I love him so much.

Today we were playing and I decided to see how well he could sit up on his own. He cannot sit himself up, but he was able to sit for a solid minute by himself before he toppled back onto the boppy. He liked sitting up...I think because he was eye to eye with Toby. :)

He also is wanting to crawl so badly. I know within the next month he will be sitting on his own and crawling around like crazy. He is so ready to get moving. I think we might be in trouble. :)

Happy birthday to Granddad today!!!
