Having a snack with my best buddy!

A little while ago I was in the kitchen and Will was playing with his diaper bag. Well, he found his puffs, and he opened them up. Of course, his best buddy, Toby, came running. Will poured the container out on the floor and they started chowing down. He was taking a bite and patting Toby on the back and then taking another bite. It was a cute sight to see!! Then he ran in the den and pounced on his Daddy who was sleeping...breaking rule #1...never wake a sleeping Rucker man! Haha!!

Attention everyone...look at me!!

Our child has no fear...he is a daredevil! This morning he decided to climb on top of his box of blocks and dance for me...he has just taken up dance this week. :)
So, it isn't really dance, but he shakes his knees and smiles and does his "Stevie Wonder" move with his head. It cracks us up when he moves his head...we say, "do your Stevie" and we move our head...he usually will do it, too...and laugh!
I had to grab the camera when he was standing on the box...and in his Lightening McQueen slippers, too!! What a nut!!

Oh, and please ignore the bruises on his head...this child has no fear, I tell you. He has also taken up the art of running, so therefore, bruises! You would think he would get them from standing on boxes and falling off...nope...hardwoods!

Who wouldn't love this little guy??

Nice day for a walk in the park...

Will, Iris, and I met my friend Amy and her new baby Andrew at the new Harbins Park this morning. We had a wonderful time together. We walked along the mile long trail and took a short break for Will to play on the ladybug on the playground. He started crying when I put him back in the stroller. When Amy arrived at the park, she said Will was all smiles. Our little boy LOVES to be outside...he even smiles the whole way walking to the mailbox and back. We are planning on meeting back up again later in the week. We are looking forward to it!!

Here is what he did...had some water, looked at the menu while chewing on a spoon, and chowed down on some pancake and eggs! The boy can eat!! I remembered to bring my camera this time...I love that little guy!!

Will's 1st Easter

Will had a great first Easter!! We woke up and spent some time as a family before heading off to church. Will played with his balloon that the manager of Kroger had given him Saturday afternoon. He loves to walk around with it and play.

When we got to church, I was SO sad to find out they had moved Boo-boo to an older class. I wasn't aware that they were moving him yet, so it was a little surprising to me. I went to the nursery and asked what was up with the new class number on his tag. They said they found out Will and Michah had been moved up. At least they were together. Will did well in the new class...but didn't take a nap. Still, just another way in which I am coming to realize my baby is not a baby anymore...he was kicked out of the baby class. :(

We went to Nana and Granddad's house after church. Great-grandmother and Papa Lou were there. Great Aunt Karen was there, too (we celebrated her birthday) as well as Bailey and her boyfriend Josh. We had a wonderful time.

Nana bought Will's green Easter outfit at Strasburg. He wore it to church and for a little while when we got home. Great-grandmother had bought him a precious blue hand smocked outfit with chicks on it, so he wore that once we got home since she was there. I loved both of the outfits...Daddy did not care for them too much....I guess none of the men did! :)

Meme came over last night and played with Will for a little while. They were in Birmingham this weekend, so she wanted to spend some time with him. She gave him his nighttime bottle and then left so that I could put him to bed.

Overall it was a great day. Oh, and I have been placed back into the county at a school in Snellville for next year. I do not yet know what grade I will be teaching, but I am meeting face to face with the new Principal of the school on Friday! So, Will is going to be going to Ms. Jackie's house next year...she lives in the other part of our neighborhood. At least Iris will be there with him...they are bonding and becoming buddies, so that will be nice. Have a great week!!

Neighborhood Egg Hunt...

This morning we had our neighborhood egg hunt. The Easter Bunny was there, so Will got his picture taken with him. Will did really good...better than the egg hunt at Meme's house last weekend. He would grab one in each hand and then I would take them and put them in his basket. Then off he would go to get another two. I would say he got about 8 in all. There were a LOT of kids in the 3 and under group. He was so cute!! Ignore the cut on his nose...he tried to cuddle with Iris the other day and she clawed him! :) Happy Easter, everyone!!!

Birthday cakes...

A girl I used to work with at Dacula has a little boy named Ryan. He is turning one, so I made his cakes...here they are.

Easter Cake...

I found this cute Easter cake in one of my Wilton magazines. I have been wanting to make it for a while. So, I asked Brad if he would take a cake in to work if I made one, and he said yes. So...here is the picture of the cake from the magazine...and here is my attempt at it. I added a few things of my own...jellybeans around the bottom, and I wrote on the cake, but other than the fact that my colors are brighter, I think it looks pretty good!! I gave you two angles to look at...

Oh, and Will would like to give a big shout out to his Great-Grandmother who is his newest blog stalker! :) "Holla Great-Grandmother!!"

Put me in the ZOO!!

We had a great morning at the Atlanta Zoo!! Because some storms are supposed to come into the area this afternoon, we got to the zoo this morning right after they opened. We went with Nana, Granddad, Aunt Abigail, and our wonderful cousins, Ryan and Jessica, who were in town from South Carolina. We had a fun time.

The sun was not out and it was not too hot, and it really was perfect weather to be there. Just as we were leaving the raindrops started, so we made great time!!

Here are some highlights of our trip...

Will went into the petting zoo part of the zoo. He liked petting the goat and the pig.

We rode the merry-go-round...Will had a FAST bird!!

We went and saw the Pandas...one was right against the glass, so Will was trying to touch him. The elephant put on a show when we walked by...he actually stood all 4 feet on that little stool and then sat down on it. Wow!! We also met an orangutan that could REALLY use a trip to the barber shop!!

This was a gorilla who we found out was a bachelor...yeah, he will be for a while...women don't like men who cross their arms, poke out their bottom lip, and pout. Good luck, buddy!!

Aunt Abigail and Will got into a big bird's nest.

Beware of lions!!!

Will didn't get to ride a real giraffe, so this one made do!!

Will LOVES to be outside, and he had such a good time at the zoo!

And the best picture of the day....taken right before we saw this sign...Haha!!
