Will's birthday party!

We had Will's party the night of his birthday. We met at Chick-fil-A and ate dinner, and then we went to Meme and Poppi's house for cake and presents. Speaking of cake...here is the cake that I made for Will. He chose it off of Pinterest after telling me he did NOT like the cake that I had planned on making for him. I think it turned out cute!

 Meme went and bought a banner to hang up. Nana had bought that Thomas pinata a few years ago, so it worked well with the decor!

 Meme got each of the kids a hat...it was a little too small for one child's head...we won't mention names! :)

 Meme also set out some pictures of Will throughout the years. The one with the football helmet is him at 4 days old. The one with the football, he is 3 months old. He is 9 months in the picture on the left. The big blue one was his 3 year birthday pictures. And of course...his unforgettable green pants from last January when he broke his femur!

 He enjoyed opening all of his gifts. Like his shirt? Nana's friend, Joanne, made it for him!

 And I got the shot right after the candle was blown out. He had a wonderful birthday! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day!

Will's 4-year-old photo shoot

I took off work today for Will and I to have a Mama/Will day together! We took Daniel to Jackie's and then headed to have his picture made. After pictures, we ran to Target and he spent all his birthday money! I let him pick where we went for lunch...he chose "E I E I O..." as he calls McDonald's. He got to play for a while in their playground, and he had a ball. We went out for ice cream, and then we went and picked up his brother! We had a great day together! Happy 4th Birthday, Boo-Boo!!

Today is Will's 4th birthday!! I can't believe how fast time is flying. We're going to Chick-fil-A tonight to have dinner with our family, and then going to Meme and Poppi's for cake and presents. Since we will have cake tonight, Will and I opted for cookies to share with his friends at Jackie's today. I dyed them blue (for Thomas' paint job...as Will would say) and we put cupcake toppers on them.

 Of course, Will had to be the taste-tester!

And Daniel, too! :)

I will post about his party and his cake that I made later in the week! God has blessed our family with these two amazing boys!!

I do! I like them!

Daniel has been...shall we say...a picky eater!! He ate everything when it came from baby food jars! Now, it seems like all he likes is macaroni and cheese and Cheerios. I try to feed him good vegetables, but he just spits them out. Tonight, he pointed at the green beans on my plate and said "bean." I gave him one, and he ate it. Then he wanted more. Before I knew it, he had eaten all the beans I had set aside for Brad to have with his dinner. Oops! But he was too cute eating them!

Great Day!

The Rucker Family had an awesome day! We did a lot of playing, and a lot of things around the house, and a lot of relaxing. Speaking of relaxing...look at what we got...or, I guess look at the view from inside what we got. We finally got our hot tub! :)

Brad had the guys help him and Rick set it up on our back porch that is off of the basement. We can get in it any time because last summer, we had under-decking put in our upstairs deck. Brad and I got in this afternoon while the boys were taking their naps. I just got out a few minutes ago from our second time in there. I took this picture this afternoon while I sat in there. SO relaxing!

 I found a new recipe on Pinterest for a roast called Mississippi Roast. I made it tonight and it was SO good. Before I even sat down with my plate, Will had finished his and was saying how good it was. After dinner, I made homemade popcorn (for the first time ever) and Will chose for us to watch The Elf on the Shelf as a family. So, we watched a Christmas movie and ate popcorn! We enjoyed every minute of it!!

Since we have a very long commute each day, Will has taken to photography. I have many pictures of his feet, of trees, of red lights, of the back of my head, of the back of the car seat in front of him. But today, I heard, "Smile, Daniel." This is what I found on my phone!!! He's getting better! :)
