Just call me Pioneer Woman

While browsing on my new obsession, Pinterest, I found a recipe for homemade laundry soap....what??? Yeah, I started reading about it and looking at the comments from people who made it, and I thought I'd give it a try. So, I went to Walmart, and for less than $20, I brought this home...and I got to work...
And here is the end result. This is a 2-gallon jar that was almost full of homemade detergent. It smells great, and it cleans fabulously! The woman whose recipe I used said it lasted her 9 months doing 8 loads a week. We will see how long it lasts the Rucker family. So far though, I'm very happy with it!

Where can I find this recipe?? I would love to make my own detergent! Do you just dump the whole box of everything seen in the picture??

Yes, you pour all of the ingredients that you see in the picture into a 5 gallon bucket. Mix it all up carefully and then place into a container...makes about 2 gallons! Oh, and you have to shred the Fels-Naptha soap. The lady who made this...I found it on Pinterest...said she does about 8 loads a week and it lasted nine months. You use a tablespoon or two depending on the size of the load you are washing. You also use your regular fabric softner or dryer sheets like normal. I will be making homemade fabric softner very soon. Good luck!
