Daniel Goes to School

Today was Daniel's first day in a big boy school. He took his teachers some goodies to put a smile on their faces...

 He was VERY excited to go today. This is him this morning at 5:45. He said he loved eating his lunch I packed him, and that he wanted to do that again! He had an overall good day! My baby is growing up!

Fun on the lake

Yesterday was Daddy's last day off with us, so we spent most of the day on the water. Daddy has been wanting to ride over to Lake Lanier Islands, so that's where we headed. Daniel loved getting into the snacks on the way there. I love the wind blowing in his hair!

We ate lunch there, walked around, and played in the water and on the beach. I guess it wore them both out. What do you think?

Fun with Cousins

My cousin, Ryan, his wife, Jessica, and their kids, Elliott and Grace came and stayed 3 night with us. We had a fun time together. We woke up Friday morning and went to the water park near our house. That afternoon, we took them to the creamery for ice cream. 

 Saturday we woke up and went to Abigail and Nick's house. We had a great time there. It was also nice because Mom, Dad, and Aunt Winnie watched all the kids so myself, Brad, Ryan, Jessica, Abigail, and Nick could go to dinner last night. When we got about 1/2 a mile from home last night, the sheriff stopped me. He told me the road had been closed...the only road to our house. I told him we lived back there, and he said, "but the road is gone." What? I guess there were some storms while we were gone and a creek flooded and washed the road away. We had to go to Clark's Bridge and catch a dive boat home. Jessica had never been on a boat for her...fun story for her first ride. Also, Ryan and I were interviewed by Channel 2 news, and then I talked to 11alive. This story was the top story of the night, and part of my interview made both stations...and all of us were on Channel 2. Too funny!

We had a great time with them, and we can't wait until we see them again!

The past few weeks...

The past few weeks have been full of some fun things! Here are some pics to recap our life lately...

Brad and I have woken up to find this in our bed most mornings. Who knows when they come in? I think they meet up in the den and then attack our room!

 There has been some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle watching going on. I found this sight in the play room one day!

 The boys and I went last week to see their Great Grandmother and Papa Lou. Daniel LOVES books, and he had Grandmother read every single one he brought...several times!

 We are preparing for Kindergarten. We went school supply shopping, too!

 Daddy promised the boys last week that if they had a really good week, they could get some pet fish. So, last weekend, we went and got Nemo and Marlin! The boys love them!

 Will became very excited in Walmart this week to see that Planes already has some toys out! He can't wait to see that movie.

 And finally, yesterday the long awaited Turbo came out in the theaters! The boys and I went to the first showing at our theater up here! We loved it. It was a very cute movie!

Two more weeks until we're back in our school routine...but there's still a little time to make a few more memories! 

Fourth of July

Brad's side of the family came over on the fourth, and we were able to celebrate Kate's 6th birthday! I can't believe how fast all these kids are growing! Because of all the horrible rain we had, the only water play the kids could have was in the hot tub! They all got in together and had a blast. Isn't this guy handsome?

 Meme bought them all matching shirts that say "Red White and Cool" to wear. 

 I thought this picture was funny because Meme told the kids to all kiss Poppi. Kate did, but Daniel only made it to Kate's tummy. Who knows what Will and Jackson are doing?? Ha!
