Obsession...

If you know anything about our precious son, you know he has an OBSESSION with trains!! He wakes up and gets his trains...he eats breakfast with a different train each morning and talks to it in between bites...he likes to watch "choo-choos" on tv...he gets SO excited when we cross "tain tacks" and he does his "toot-toot" and pumps his arm...he looks at train books all day...and he would honestly sit for hours on end playing with his tracks and his collection of trains. He even has tracks and trains at both sets of grandparent's houses. Well, we always read a choo-choo book before bedtime each night. If it is a sound making book, he likes to press the buttons...and he knows when to press which ones. After reading them, I always let him hold one and look at it until he falls asleep. Here he was tonight...holding THREE choo-choo books...and wearing his Thomas pajamas that his Granddad bought him...

A closer look...I hope his new brother likes trains since we will probably own the entire collection by then! :)

Big shoes to fill...

I was getting dressed the other morning when Boo decided to walk in and show me the shoes he wanted to wear...Daddy's shoes. LOL...he was hysterical walking in them...

Oops...trying to walk too fast!

Fun lunch date...

Boo and I went downtown today for a very important lunch date...with Daddy!! We went to a Jamaican place right in downtown...Daddy loves their jerk chicken!! Boo and I shared Teriyaki chicken, mac and cheese, and black beans. He LOVED the beans...can you tell by his face? He ate most of mine and a good bit of Brad's.

Then, since we had to walk in the heat several blocks to eat, we were hot on the walk back. We went to Carvel in Centennial Olympic Park and got a sweet treat. Boo liked his strawberries and cream ice cream...
BIG bite...

Yummy, Daddy!!

What a fun lunch date! Here is Boo in his new Thomas sunglasses! Oh, and if you ask him what was the best part of the trip to Atlanta?? Seeing the choo-choo's when we took Daddy back to work, of course!

Daddy's little helper...

Last night we took a family trip to the pool. When we got home, Will got ready for bed, and then we realized Daddy was outside...we had to check it out. Will figured out Daddy was watering the plants...

Of course he wanted to test out the water...
And then he wanted to try his hand at watering the plants...Jackie lets the boys help her water the plants in her garden, so I guess he thinks he's an expert now. :)

He quickly gave up on watering the plants and decided to help do some yard work...

But, it's always more fun to chase Toby with the lawnmower than to actually do the work!!

How do you cool down on a hot day??

We had a play date at the Suwanee fountains this morning. We were going to go to an indoor water park, but Mama and Tiffany decided last night just to do the free fountains and then go to Chick-fil-A to eat and play there. Meme and Kate went with us. It was Kate's first trip...here she is checking it out, and Will smiling when he realizes what we're about to do...
The water felt so good...even Mama, Tiffany, and Meme got a little wet...Mama wanted to just jump on in and get soaked, but I didn't bring a change of clothes. Will is still thinking about getting all the way wet...

Doing the bend over and feel the water pose...
Will and Kate playing with the smaller fountains...

Here's the only picture of Will, Kate, and Hayes together...and none of them are looking...
Walking straight into a larger fountain...
This is fun...and I am pretty wet now...

Hmm...where to go next...

This puddle looks like a fun place to play...

Or maybe I'm ready to go eat and play at Chick-fil-A. :)

This weekend...

We have had a fun, busy, and HOT weekend!!! If you know much about Will, you know that he LOVES to eat fruit and veggies. He could make a meal off of them and be content. Well, one thing he loves for breakfast is oatmeal with blueberries on top. I put frozen ones on there because it cools the oatmeal down and defrosts the berries. Sometimes Will just goes in the freezer and grabs a handful of them and chows down. He would rather have them than cookies!!
Anyway, Friday night Brad and I were in our room talking and looking at something on the computer, and Boo walks in with purple hands, purple face, and the bag of "buuuz" as he calls them. We found purple hand smears on our couch and on the wall. Daddy said no more blueberries unsupervised. Well, Saturday, he grabbed the berries and hid under the butcher block in the kitchen. LOL...here he is grabbing some out...

...and laughing and sharing with Toby...
...and oops...caught ya! Shh...don't tell Daddy!! :)

And what is a perk of having a Mama that teaches and stays home with you during the summer?? Crawling onto her side of the bed in the morning and watching cartoons while she gets dressed...

And don't forget your choo-choo friends!!!

Our trip to the Yellow River Game Ranch...

Today, Will and I went with Meme, Kate, Aunt Renee, and Will's third cousin, Ava, to the Yellow River Game Ranch. I now know why Atlanta is sometimes referred to as HOT-lanta!! I was sweating and my face was so hot. Thank goodness it is mainly shaded there!! Will was excited to go and see some animals. Here he is checking out some of the deer and roosters...

A hungry deer came over for a snack...Will wasn't afraid at all!
He enjoyed watching the deer eat the carrot he gave him!!

Here is Kate, Ava, and Will when we were almost finished with our adventure. They had a blast even though it was SO hot!!

And as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot, this was the view in the back seat. He stayed like this until we got to Meme's house for lunch!! Fun was had by all!

A rough week we've had...

It's been a wild week in the Rucker household!! But, we have BIG news to share first...Boo has graduated to his big boy Elmo bed!!! He stays in it throughout his entire nap, and only one night out of four has he ventured into our room in the middle of the night. However, he does come in each morning around 6:30 and climb into bed for about another hour of sleep and snuggle time!! Here he is one night in his bed....

Here Will is this afternoon. On Tuesday, we ended up at the doctor's office and Will had to have a breathing treatment and steroids because of a bad case of croup...
Meme bought him some choo-choo underwear today, so here he is trying to show me his big boy pants!!

And we ended up back at the doctor today and that yucky croup has turned into bronchitis!!! We are now the owners of our own breathing machine, and he has to have treatments every 4 hours until he gets better!! This picture was taken after he calmed down and Meme and I weren't wrestling him anymore!!
